Nice article! In my experience working remotely boosts creativity, depending on the task.

Noise shouldn't be too much of a concern with good noise-cancelling headsets. And I've recently noticed that the noise cancelling function on Zoom works great, too.

I'm more concerned about posture and ergonomics when constantly working on different chairs, tables, lighting, especially on the long run.

Yeah I want to invest in some noise-cancellers. Any tips?

The posture thing is a big issue. I used to work in construction and there was no feeling like getting in bed at the end of the day feeling totally spent having used every possible part of your body. I much prefer writing and I wouldn't want to go back to working on the tools, but honestly, the sedentary lifestyle is a silent killer. I can feel my body shouting at me, "GET UP! MOVE! STOP SITTING LIKE THAT!"

Yeah can't agree more!

About the noise cancellers - I think there are various options on the market, I use the Bose Quiet Comfort 1 headset + background music (such as white noise) and it really helps to stay focused.

Thanks for the recommendation!

White noise is the bomb! When we moved into our new house in London and discovered that the floorboards separating our flat from the one above were paper thin, we seriously considered moving out…until someone suggested a white noise machine. It quiet literally changed the game for us. We lived there happily for two years. We even brought the machine with us on the road when we became working travellers. We put it in storage in the end when we were shedding excess baggage. By then, we'd grown attached to it and were worried we wouldn't be able to sleep without it.
