It reminded me of one of the most important lessons I’ve learned these past few years in my own pursuit of creativity. That is, that any judgment that comes up for me around the work of others is similarly judgment of myself.
Increasingly, I love the idea of simply following our impulses and intuition: both in my work, and in the work of others.
So well articulated. Was heading out the door but had to sit down and read this entire piece. I find the person asking “what’s the point” is usually… me! But I eventually realize that voice isn’t mine. It comes from social conditioning and old scripts. So important to connect with what you actually feel and distinguish it from what you think you *should* feel. And always better to act from love than from fear.
It's taken me a lot of time, healing, and self-compassion to get to the point where I genuinely value my creativity. Still in process of understanding how I want to express myself creatively and how I earn money.
Beautifully written, Harrison.

Yeah dude, I’m a big fan of travelling by interesting. Have you read Why Greatness Cannot Be Planned? (book by Kenneth Stanley)
If people don't 'get it', that can be reframed as a tailwind
(instead of doing something everyone recognises, except you don't want to do it)
Harrison, this is such an essential essay. I especially loved this:
“it's ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY if you want the chance to do something remarkable with your life.”
We all have a unique contribution to make to the world. We must make it!
We must. We absolutely must!
…there is no sense like nonsense…it makes some sense to make no sense at least some times…
Bro, you always crack me up! What's new homie? Saw you've made a second gym?
you better believe - the most needless sequel since Garfield - A Tail of Two Kitties

Cheers Vincent! It’s great to hear form you again, it’s been too long since we chatted!
