Learning styles is the key, and natural abilities is often ignored in public "factory" education. The best teachers at any level succeed when they recognize there are individual and group needs. Balancing those goals can be very frustrating as class size and administrative constraints enlarge. The most prepared students are those with parents who emphasize learning from the beginning as fun and as necessary as food and shelter. They also stress academia is only one of many ways to learn. Thus, the popularity of home schooling.
